Milton Friedman, for 25 years the chief of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency’s Washington Bureau, has been hired by Vice-President Gerald Ford as a speech writer, it was learned here. Friedman retired from the JTA several years ago. He served as press secretary to Sen. Jacob K. Javits (R. NY) in 1972.
