The refusal of the Ministry of Agriculture to deal with Jewish mills in the disposal of eight hundred tons of American wheat was disclosed today.
The Jewish mill owners approached the Ministry asking that the wheat be sold them. The Minister refused telling them to use local wheat. Soon thereafter he sold the wheat to non-Jewish co-operatives who immediately resold part of it to the Jews at a profit of one hundred lat per ton.
The Jewish population has issued a protest against the official discrimination practiced against Jewish traders.
