More than 25 percent of all West Germans, and especially young people, believe that a new Hitler could rise in Germany if there were a serious crisis, according to a survey carried out by the Infas public opinion poll, About 60 percent of the population did not believe this, Seventy-five percent of the people said they wanted to forget the past and that television and radio programs on Hitler and the war should be stopped.
