Morris Weinberg, one of the founders of The Day, a national Jewish daily newspaper, has purchased the paper and assumed control of its affairs after a lapse of seventeen years, it was announced here yesterday.
Mr. Weinberg left The Day in 1925 after eleven years as publisher, and entered the banking business. He was invited to return by the Day Foundation, the employee group which attempted to operate the newspaper. The new corporation which Mr. Weinberg will head is called The Day Publishing Association.
