Israel’s accomplishments in the field of soil conservation and rehabilitation were hailed by Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson today in a message addressed to Mrs. Oved Ben Ami, president of the newly created committee for the beautification of Israel. Mrs. Johnson who heads the National Committee for the Beautification of the United States, said in her cabled greeting that “all the world admires the conservation achievements in your country which has turned deserts to bloom and usefulness.”
