Mrs. Jules Cahn, director of the Jewish Social Bureau here for the past eight years, was shot and killed, yesterday, by a deranged relief applicant. Her slayer, Joel Zimmerman, 68, committed suicide.
Mrs. Cahn, who was 55 years old, was one of the best known members of the local Jewish community and was widely known throughout the city for her social service activities
