Burmese-Israel friendship is “axiomatic, ” Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, told a press conference here today following her return from a five-week tour of the Far East.
Mrs. Meir said she had explained to Burmese Prime Minister U Nu Israel’s position on the situation of the Palestine Arab refugees but did not indicate how the Burmese leader had reacted.
She emphasized she had not discussed with U Nu the matter of the joint declaration between him and Egyptian President Nasser issued at the close of U Nu’s recent visit to Cairo.
