President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, in a cable to Premier Menachem Begin, urged that both countries should intensify their efforts to implement the Camp David accords and to intensify efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East. The cable was in response to a message of greetings by Begin to Mubarak on the occasion of the Moslem holiday of Id Al Fitr and the 30th anniversary of the overthrow of King Farouk. The Egyptian President stressed that peace was a noble goal and that the peace process between Egypt and Israel should not be affected, although it has slowed down as a result of the war in Lebanon.
