NATO is considering inviting Israel and several Arab states to its June summit. NATO is likely to invite the Middle Eastern countries to its Mediterranean Dialogue program at a June 28-29 summit in Istanbul. However, NATO officials say the alliance will not get involved in the Arab-Israeli conflict. Instead, the program would allow for military exchanges, political meetings and information sharing on terrorism.
