New Anti-jewish Excesses Stir Bukowina, Many Jews Injured

Alarming reports of new anti-Semitic excesses in Bukowina are contained in the Roumanian newspapers which reached here to-day.

The excesses took place in the region of the Bukowina resorts. Down-awatra Jacobenie, Gura Humora, as well as on the trains connecting the resorts visited mainly by Jews. Many of the Jewish vacationists and passengers on the trains were cruelly beaten and injured.

Nicholas Torn who was acquitted after he murdered the Jewish student, David Falik took a leading part in the excesses. He tore out the beard of the Rabbi of Eva. Among those who were seriously injured are Moses Laufer. Samson Klipper. Samuel Greisler and Osias Rachmuth. The newspapers report that the woods in the neighborhood of the resorts resounded for many hours with the outeries of the attacked.

A report form Bucharest states that the Jewish deputies Strancher and Dr. William Filderman have intervened with the government to stop the excesses.
