A new settlement which will provide homes for demobilized Jewish soldiers was formally dedicated here over the week-end on 4,200 dunams of Jewish National Fund land in Galilee. A group of veterans have been working on the land for several weeks, erecting houses, cultivating the soil and performing other preparatory tasks.
It was announced today that in the first nine months of the current Jewish year the JNF’s net income was $6,400,000, of which $4,000,000 came from the United States. Expenditures, however, were considerably higher than the income. Most of the funds expended went to purchase land, of which 20,000 dunams were bought in the period under review.
