The establishment of a family foundation to distribute $250,000 to various Jewish, Catholic and Protestant causes by the end of 1953 was announced here today.
The fund, known as the Brukenfeld Family Foundation, was established to mark the golden wedding anniversary of the benefactors, Morris and Sarah Brukenfeld. Among the recipient agencies will be the New York Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, Hebrew University, Brandeis University, Jewish Theological Seminary and Hadassah, as well as other Jewish, Christian and Negro schools, hospitals and institutions.
