The 1950 campaign of the women’s division of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York was launched today at a Waldorf-Astoria luncheon addressed by Henry Morgenthau Jr., general chairman of the U.J.A., Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, and Harry Greenstein, former adviser on Jewish Affairs to the U.S. command in Europe. It was revealed that Mrs. Roosevelt contributed $3,500 to the U.J.A. last year.
