Gilbert W. Kahn, son of Otto H. Kahn, and Miss Anne E. Whelan of East Oronge, N. J. daughter of Charles A. Whelan, President of the United Cigar Stores, were married in the Italian garden of the Hotel Ambassador.
The ceremony, following the rites of the Roman Catholic Church, was performed by Father John B. Kelly, Spiritual Director of the Catholic Writers’ Bureau, assisted by the pastor of the bride, Father Matthew Farley of East Orange.
According to the agreement entered into by the bridegroom, a Protestant, before sanction of the Catholic Church was given for the ceremony, the offspring of the marriage will be raised in the Catholic faith. Mr. Kahn may later take up the faith of his bride, the New York “World” reports today.

Vanderlip, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. O’Brien Mr. and Mrs. Esmond P. O’Brien.
