A united front of Lithuanian merchants and artisans to oust the Jews from all economic positions was decided upon today at a congress of the “Werslas,” Association of Merchants and Artisans.
A vigorous anti-Jewish demonstration was organized by the congress, which proclaimed “Lithuania for the Lithuanians.” A proclamation was issued appealing to all citizens: “Lithuanians unite. Buy only from Lithuanian stores.”
Approximately 600 delegates are attending the conference, which is being held in Siauli.
