A final agreement on the division of pre-Hitler communal property between the re-established Jewish communities in the British Zone of Germany and the Jewish Trust Corporation, the successor organization for heirless Jewish property in the British Zone, has now been formally ratified by both parties, more than a year after it was concluded.
It is expected that a similar agreement pertaining to the American Zone will be ratified early in the Fall. This would bring to a close, since West Berlin arrangements have already been concluded, a long and bitter intra-Jewish dispute.
