The Association of Jewish Manufacturers of Palestine has decided to call upon the municipality of Tel Aviv and the Jewish Communities Council of Jerusalem to establish labor exchanges from whom the manufacturers will be obligated to hire laborers, without distinction of parties.
This announcement was made at a press conference today and the Association’s resolve was explained as an effort to bring to an end Palestine labor disputes which are detrimental to industry.
Representatives of the Manufacturers Association emphasized that the manufacturers are unwilling to deal with the Histadruth exclusively but wish to employ workers irrespective of their party affiliations.
