The Minister of Finance issued an order today providing that taxes paid by Jews in Poland to the Jewish community for the maintenance of Jewish institutions should be increased to equal from fifteen to thirty per cent of their general income tax.
The exact percentage of the increase will be established in each city in accordance with the needs of the local Jewish community. In Warsaw, the Jews will have to pay the maximum which is set at thirty per cent of the income tax.
