Fifty Jews of Lodz were sat upon by police at Sgierszastrasse and after being beaten into submission were marched off to the nearest police station where they were again subjected to terrible beatings in the course of which their clothes were torn off and their money seized.
Lodz, according to the report, is in a state of ferment because of the police brutalities, and the deputies for that city are submitting an urgent interpellation in the Sejm. Victims of the police rowdism include Rabbi Aronisaak Schulitz.
