Joseph Lelpold, former commandant of the Bendzin concentration camp, who personally killed 40 Jews during his administration of the camp, was sentenced to death today by the Lublin district court. In Soenoviec, the court imposed the death sentence on Brune Techamler, a German, who was convicted on charges of participating in the annihilation of the Jews of Dombrova.
A Polish couple named Sivicki and a Garman, L. Vockord, were sentenced to death by the Warsaw court for torturing Jewish workers and looting Jewish property during the Nazi regime. Vockord was arrested after the war in Germany and was repatriated to Poland by the American military authorities.
