An emergency Zionist conference decided today to telegraph Prime Minister Chamberlain appealing to the British Government to remain faithful to its pledge to the Jewish people and declaring that the 3,500,000 polish Jews would never consent to a plan condemning the Jews to remain a minority in the land of their forefathers.
The decision was taken by the Zionist General Council, the central committees of all Zionist organizations and the presidium of the recent National Palestine Conference, which met to consider rumors that certain influential British circles were seeking to induce the British Government to fix the status of the Jews as a permanent minority in Palestine.
