Professor Max Liebermann, internationally renowned Jewish artist and honorary president of the Prussian Academy of Art was yesterday elected Vice-Chancellor of the Knights of the Order of Merit for Science and Art.
Professor Liebermann, who is eighty-five years old, is Dean of German painters and an outstanding exponent of German impressionism.
