Mass meetings of the Jewish population are held here daily to protest against the new citizenship laws passed by the Rouman Parliament. These new laws are so drastic that even those already possessing citizenship papers may be deprived of them. The meetings passed resolutions condemning the Jewish members in the Parliament who permitted the new measures to pass without protest.
The new citizenship laws are in direct violation of the international obligation incurred by Roumania in signing the Peace Treaty which calls for more liberal admission into citizenship of the inhabitants of newly acquired territory.
