Rabbi Raphael Gordon, known for his works on astronomy in addition to his religious writings, died today at the age of 95, in Wasilkow near Bialystok, Poland.
Rabbi Gordon was one of the most prominent rabbis in Poland and was a contemporary of Chofetz-Chaim, the most revered orthodox rabbi in the world.
