A resolution has been adopted by the Committee on Social Justice of the Rabbinical Assembly of America condemning the illegal lynchings which have taken place in the States of California, Maryland and Missouri during the past few weeks.

Over the signatures of Dr. Elias L. Margolis, president, and Rabbi Milton Steinberg, chairman of the Social Justice Committee of the organization, the resolution reads in part as follows:

“Be it resolved that the Rabbinical Assembly urge upon the proper authorities that every legal course possible be pursued to prevent a recurrence of lynching wherever the threat of it manifests itself;

“And, that it call upon the judicial and executive officials of the States in which lynchings have been perpetrated to perform their duty in bringing violators of the law before the bar of justice.”
