The former chief of military intelligence, Gen. Aharon Yariv, (Res.), said today that the last Israeli raid on Beirut had its effect and had proven its value in the developments in the Lebanese capital where the Army continued to battle with terrorists. He also said that since Munich about 80-90 percent of terrorist acts have failed or were cancelled because they were detected beforehand and had no chance of success. According to Yariv the terrorists have lost about 1000 men since Munich but continue to act because of aid from Arab states.
