The new supplement of the famous German Brockhaus Encyclopaedia has just been received here in its revised Nazi form.

The book is full of names of entirely obscure scientists, whereas well-known personalities are entered the following way:-

“Einstein, Albert. Removed in 1933 from his post as Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physics; lost his citizenship and lives abroad.

“Liebermann, Max. Painter of Jewish origin; resigned his post as President of the Academy of Arts.”

In the chapter ” Jews,” the Nazified encyclopaedia contains the following statement:-

“Should the readiness of the National Socialist Party for the establishment of natural relationship between the German people and the Jewish minority be repulsed and the incitement of : International Jewry continue, then Hitler would consider further measures necessary.”

The Czech press expresses its astonishment that so important a scientific publication should sink to so low a standard of scholarship, and forecasts that a great number of its foreign subscribers will refuse to pay for it even if its publishers should sue them for breach of contract.
