Delegates from nine European countries at the annual meeting of the European Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations approved plans today for the creation of a Beth Din (Jewish religious court) for the European continent.
Rabbi E. Munk of Paris, who presided, told the Orthodox leaders that a West European boarding school for religious students had met with considerable success. He also said that progress had been made in solving the religious education problems of North African Jewish refugee children now living in France.
He said his fund-raising activities on a visit to the United States last year had made possible the opening of five Jewish day schools in France for such children.
