Thousands of Jews today attended the burial of the remains of Dr. Nahum Syrkia, founder and theoretician of the Labor Zionist movement, which were brought from New York where Dr. Syrkin died in 1924.

All Israeli ships at Haifa harbor sounded their sirens as the coffin was carried ashore from the S.S. Jaffa this morning. The coffin was brought into the Beth Syrkin, a labor center named after the late leader, and remained there for several hours during which Haifa workers paid their last honors. The funeral convoy later proceeded to Kineret where the remains were buried.
