(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

The demand that the Roumanian government take measures to prevent the recurrence of anti-Jewish excesses was expressed by the "Adeverul", Roumanian organ of the Jewish population.

The demand is presented in connection with the opening in Jassy tomorrow of the Congress of the anti-Semitic Christian League. The government is urged particularly to place guards on the trains and in the streets.

The "Dimineatza" questions the government as to why it permitted the distribution of anti-Semitic pamphlets to railway guards on May Day.
