Restrictions on Zionist fund-collections, under which such collections have been virtually banned, have not been officially lifted yet, it was declared today by Dr. Samuel Singer, president of the Rumanian Jewish National Fund.
Although local authorities in kishineff told the Zionist Organization over the telephone it may resume collections, Zionists hesitate to do so since they have received no formal written authorization, Dr. Singer told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
Expressing the hope that an official order would be forthcoming in the near future, he said that the situation at present was “confused.”
