A sharp warning to all Jews who “hold jobs or who can enter the field of production” not to leave their work and “start running around for interventions and traveling documents with a view to their emigration to Israel” has been given by H. Leibovici-Serban, secretary-general of the Federation of Jewish Communities and one of the top-ranking leaders of the Jewish Democratic Committee.

Writing in the current issue of “Unirea,” Mr. Leibovici charged that “recent agitations in view of emigration to Israel are nothing else but the machinations of the imperialists and their servants who are preparing for the third world war.” He emphasized that his warning does not apply to elderly persons or children who are dependent on people now in Israel, or to husbands and wives who have become separated.
