Solomon Gilinsky, editor and executive director of the Jewish Encyclopedic Handbook, died at his home here of a heart attack. He was 73.
He had edited three volumes of the encyclopedia in Yiddish and English and was editing other volumes for publication this year. The Lithuanian-born editor was a member of the Jewish Socialist Labor Bund in the Warsaw City Council from 1927 to 1938 and was brought to the United States in 1941 by the Jewish Labor Committee.
