The Spanish Government has issued a postage stamp depicting the courtyard of an historic synagogue at Toledo, it was reported from Madrid today. The issuance of the stamp was announced in the leading Madrid newspaper, Hoja del Lunes. In a lengthy article, the newspaper referred to the Jews as “our brothers” and declared that the death of Christ “cannot be attributed exclusively” to the Jewish people.
