The High Court of Justice today rejected an action brought against the government by the former head of Israel’s secret service, the “Shin Beth”, for barring him from publishing a book on the capture of Adolf Eichmann. The book was written by Isser Harel who was in charge of the operation that led to the apprehension of the Gestapo deportation chief a decade ago. The court decided that the book should not be published but did not disclose the details of its ruling.
