Three Libyan visitors were expelled from Switzerland last Thursday after the authorities were alerted by Israeli and other foreign sources that they were planning terrorist acts against Libyan dissidents and other resident aliens in the country.
The three arrived in Switzerland two weeks ago. One, believed to be a senior officer in the Libyan secret service, carried a diplomatic passports. All stayed at different hotels, which they changed every few days.
According to Swiss law, the suspects could not be arrested, because they had committed no offense on Swiss soil. They are believed to have returned to Libya.
