Three young men, who on July 12 tossed a bucket of water into Temple Ahavath Zedek, were today occupied in writing out fifty copies of the section in the United States Constitution that deal with religious freedom.
The youths, who were haled into court on a complaint brought by members of the congregation, were given a severe upbraiding by Police Recorder Wendell W. Furrey and sentenced to thirty days in jail. However, Recorder Furrey said he would consider suspending the sentence if each of them would copy out fifty sections of the Constitution in long hand.
