Headquarters of the New York Allied Jewish Campaign announced yesterday that, including contributions made last Tuesday, the second day of Shevuoth, synagogues and temples in Greater New York have thus far given $92,288 toward the $2,500,000 which is being raised in this city toward the $6,000,000 fund that is being sought nationally for the 1930 budgets of the Joint Distribution Committee and the Jewish Agency for Palestine.
The following are the congregations that have thus far reported:
Manhattan and Bronx—The Jewish Center, $30,000; Kehilath Jeshurun, $13,185; Society for the Advancement of Judaism, $25,000; Shaare Zedek, $3,500; Shearith Israel, $2,000; Brotherhood of West End Synagogue, $600; Mt. Sinai Anshe Emeth, $2,000; Washington Heights Hebrew Congregation, $1,000; Inwood Hebrew Congregation, $1,000; Ahavath Israel of Washington Heights, $500; West Side Jewish Center, $200.
Borough Park—Ansche Sfard, $4,000; Shomrei Emunah, $1,800; Young Israel, $1,200; Beth-El, $2,000.
Flatbush—Shaare Torah, $1,478; Kings Highway Jewish Center, $435; Ocean Parkway Jewish Center, $490.
Williamsburg—Bnai Israel, $650; Agudas Israel, $1000; Young Israel of Brooklyn, $250.
Ten thousand dollars by Arthur M. Lamport, $2,500 by Truly Warner and Reuben Arkush were among the contributions to the New York Allied Jewish Campaign announced yesterday. Contributions of $1,000 were received from Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Klein, Robert Marshall, Hon. Albert Ottinger, Albert R. Rossin, Abraham Siegel and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Weinstein.
