“Sardonic” amplifications of the Nuremberg anti-Jewish laws have been introduced in the Bohemia-Moravia Protectorate, regulating the intercourse between Jews and “Aryans” in the most minute detail, Czech quarters reported here today.
For example, Jews may enter shops and go to special counters reserved for them. The clerks are allowed to help them make purchases but are forbidden to converse with the Jews, even regarding the weather. Jews are allowed to eat in special rooms in restaurants but are permitted to ask the waiters only about the menu and the prices.
