Israeli Ambassador Yosef Tekoah conferred for 20 minutes this morning with Dr. Gunnar V. Jarring, the United Nations’ special representative for the Middle East. Tekoah told newsmen afterward that he had told Dr. Jarring that Israel was ready to resume the negotiations if there were no preconditions. The intermediary was expected to meet with Egyptian Ambassador Mohammed H. el-Zayyat today or tomorrow.
