Ten Jewish activists in Kiev went on a hunger strike Monday to demand action on their applications for exit visas. The strike is taking place in the home of Yuli Tartakovsky, an engineer, according to the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry. An SSSJ spokesman said it learned of the hunger strike from the Cleveland Council on Soviet Anti-Semitism. He said one of the hunger strikers was Yuri Soroko and another was an activist surnamed Remenik.
