The displaced Jews in Germany and Austria must be removed from those countries quickly if “unfortunate complications” are to be avoided, Ilya Dijour, European representative of the HIAS, warned today, following his arrival in this country.

Mr. Dijour, who spent more than a year in the American occupation zones in Europe arranging the emigration of displaced Jews to the United States and other countries, said that relations between the German population and the Jewish DP’s have deteriorated to a dangerous point. He added that the average German seems to be still imbued with the Nazi anti-Semitic teachings.
