The Central Commission for Jewish Colonization will hold a preliminary conference Sunday at the Hotel McAlpin, 34th Street and Broadway, at 3 p.m., for a discussion of plans to form a national organization for Jewish agricultural colonization along cooperative lines.
The Commission has been formed as a result of the widespread demand of various groups throughout the country, seeking ways and means to rehabilitate themselves from the havoc of the depression.
The Advisory Committe consists of Benjamin Brown, chairman; Dr. Chaim Zhitlowsky, Prof. Jacob Jaffe, David Pinski, Peretz Hirshbein, Louis Segal, Mrs. Elmer Eckhouse, Estelle Sternberger, Dr. Max Weis, Philip Gingold, Jacob Levin, S. Liebman, D. Mines and Elizabeth Hasanovitz, secretary.
