The conclusion of an agreement by the three organizations, Ica, Hias and Emigdirekt was welcomed by D’Avigdor Goldsmid, presiding at the last meeting of the Jewish Board of Deputies here.
Mr. Goldsmid said that the Board was always deeply interested in the welfare of their brethren abroad and welcomed, therefore, the consolidation of the work of these three organizations. He was sure that this consolidation would result in substantial economies and he believes that it would do much to improve the position of the Jews at home and abroad.
