The Council of Jewish Federations approved in principle documents detailing an agreement for its planned merger with the United Jewish Appeal and the United Israel Appeal. The national leadership of all three organizations is now traveling around the United States to present its plans for the merger to local federations, which need to give final approval of the agreement.
