The former head of Israel’s armed forces denied reports that he fled an arrest warrant issued against him in New Zealand. Moshe Ya’alon, who was vacationing in the South Pacific nation, said in a telephone interview with Israel’s Army Radio over the weekend that he had not cut short his visit despite an attempt by local human rights groups to have him arrested and tried for alleged war crimes against Palestinians.
