The Juedische Rundschau, organ of the German Zionists, appealed today to the peoples of the world: “Open your doors! Do not abandon us to a life the very basis of which is disappearing. Receive us as a people of culture, genuinely willing to work.”

The weekly, published in Berlin, made the appeal in an article on the United States Government’s proposal for aid to refugees. It expressed the hope that the American appeal would find an echo in the countries of Western Europe and America. A large number of Jews in Germany can be absorbed by the economically strong countries, particularly the United States, the article said.
