The new leader of Israel’s Labor Party said he is willing to make unprecedented compromises for peace with the Palestinians. Defense Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer, who was elected this week as Labor’s chairman, told Israel TV on Friday, “I’m one of those who is willing to make the biggest compromises. But only if I know that our dealings with the enemy are over and he becomes a friend.”
