The U.N. General Assembly passed a Holocaust commemoration resolution. The document, called Holocaust Remembrance, passed by consensus Tuesday. In introducing the resolution Monday, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations said its passage would represent the first time the world body adopted a resolution related to the Holocaust. The resolution, which establishes a Holocaust memorial day at the United Nations and calls on members states to incorporate Holocaust education into their missions, had more than 100 co-sponsors.
