The United Jewish Communities and Chabad worked together to provide challah to Jewish communities in Mississippi for Rosh Hashanah. On Sunday, the UJC, the umbrella organization for North American Jewish federations, received a request from the Jewish communities in Davenport and Biloxi for challah, as their usual suppliers were out of reach. The UJC contacted Chabad’s Hurricane Relief Crisis Committee, which sent 1,200 challahs to the two communities.
